Epcos has a very low profile power inductor range which has a height of just 1mm and a footprint of 2.0x2.0mm.

The B82466G0 series covers inductance range from 0.5 to 22µH and a saturation current of up to 1.6A. The B82467G0 and B82469G1 series, which measure in at 2.6x2.8x1.0mm and 3.8x3.6x1.2mm, respectively, are available with saturation currents of up to 3.0 A.

They are designed for maximum operating temperatures of up to 125 deg C. The components are magnetically shielded and RoHS-compatible.

Among other things these inductors can be used as storage and smoothing chokes for compact DC-DC converters in mobile electronic devices.
